Just a quick update about my practicum assignment - I have continued to read various Wikipedia articles that interest me (music, sports, media, etc.) and done some grammatical editing where it applies. I have changed my profile to include some information about myself and rearranged my homepage.
Some other things that seem interesting, and I have been poking around with are some of "Wikipedia's Sister Projects". There are many other wikis out there about Pokemon, The Office, Star Wars, and many others, but Wikipedia has created niche Wikis about particular things. Some of them include: Wikibooks (includes full-text and manuals for thousands of topics), Wikiversity (learning and research materials for Universities), Wiktionary (dictionary and thesaurus resource), and many other categories making the online encyclopedia even more comprehensive and complete.
