Hey, I know I just posted, but I found an interesting article about the convergence between Wikipedia and the academic world. It is an article from the BBC talking about how "students and academics at a world-leading London university want to build bridges between the Wikipedia website and formal research". This sounds interesting and totally pertains to what my practicum is all about.
